Why Do Horror Movie Directors Keep Calling Stephen Pearcy for music and roles?
Horror filmmakers know what rock fans have known for decades: RATT brings Attitude to every scene. As production companies like A24 turn the film industry on their head, more and more directors reach for the notoriously salicious hooks and vocels on a RATT record to emphasize their stories as they dwelve into murderous tones.
The band’s music can make a dark scene feel dangerous, seductive, and unmistakably ’80s. For Stephen Pearcy, RATT’s founder and voice, that connection has grown into a cult following that reaches beyond the stage and into horror film and television.
“Round and Round” found a new audience in Netflix’s Stranger Things, where its Sunset Strip energy fit the show’s world of teenage bravado and gathering dread.
More recently, RATT’s “I’m Insane” appeared in MaXXXine, the final film in director Ti West’s X trilogy. It was an inspired match: a song with a wild edge, set loose in a story steeped in 1980s Hollywood, ambition, and bloodshed.
Pearcy has stepped in front of the camera, too. In the cult slasher "Camp Utopia", he played Timothy Bach, the film’s murderous cult leader.
He later appeared in ABC’s 2015 Sunset Strip crime series "Wicked City". Those roles gave horror fans a chance to see the presence behind the voice: the same charisma that commands a rock stage works just as well in a sinister story.
The connection continues. RATT music is part of the conversation around Searchlight Pictures’ horror comedy "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come". Pearcy had a memorable scene working alongside the band, Ice Nine Kills in a satirical movie Trailer that broke records at Searchlight Pictures.

The Pearcy team has also recently approved music for October, another A24 horror thriller directed by the 20 X Award Winning Director, Jeremy Saulnier.
Further horror and rock comedy projects are in development with filmmaker Jason Lei Howden, whose "Deathgasm" brought heavy metal and outrageous horror together.
There is a reason filmmakers keep hearing possibilities in Stephen Pearcy’s music.
RATT’s songs have hooks big enough to own a scene, grit enough to unsettle it, and a sense of fun that lets horror revel in its excess.
Whether the story calls for a slasher, a supernatural nightmare, or a blood-soaked joke, that sound knows how to make an entrance.
The Sunset Strip gave RATT its first stage. Horror has given its music another place to haunt.

Mỗi khu vực được tách riêng thành từng khối, nhờ vậy mình chỉ cần nhìn sơ cũng biết phần đó nằm ở đâu. Menu được đặt khá dễ tìm nên khi muốn chuyển sang mục khác cũng không phải mất công tìm kiếm. Mình chỉ lướt qua một lúc nhưng…
Mình đánh giá cao cách VIP66 tổ chức các danh mục. Những nội dung có liên quan được đặt gần nhau nên việc tìm kiếm khá thuận tiện, không phải mở nhiều trang mới rồi quay lại liên tục. Cách sắp xếp này đặc biệt hữu ích với người chưa quen website.
